As the cost of hiring an attorney goes up, the public is left with very few affordable document preparation options. Our commitment to our clients doesn't stop at the preparation of their documents. All documents that require court or state filing are filed in person by one of our efficient couriers. We follow your case or service from beginning to end and do it all for one flat rate.
We know that being incarcerated with no attorney can be overwhelming. We are dedicated to providing you help in document preparation in language that you can understand. We are here to help inmates know and understand their rights by assisting with the preparation of court documents and case research.
Our mission is to help inmates who aren't able to afford an attorney file the necessary paperwork to assist with with their appeals, misconduct accusations, probation, parole, and release. In addition, when you become a client of The National Paralegal Center, you aren’t just hiring a single paralegal, you are hiring a team of experienced professionals ready to assist with your project needs.
Kevin Campfield Sr. is a member of Columbia University’s Justice in Education Scholar Program, alum of Columbia Law School Paralegal Pathways Initiative law program, and is also Founder and Senior Paralegal of “The People’s Paralegal & Research Services LLC," which has now been expanded into "The National Paralegal Center".
During his 13 years of incarceration, he selectively studied law and worked in law libraries as a paralegal throughout DOC institutions where he trained other paralegals and assisted prisoners with legal needs from legal research to motion drafting and court filing. Following his release in October of 2018, Mr. Campfield embarked on entrepreneurship, launching a cost-effective legal service to low-income individuals and the incarcerated. “The People’s Paralegal & Research Service LLC,” has successfully serviced over 300 individuals too date and has facilitated the release of 6 prisoners and successfully obtained other forms of relief for dozens more by means of Pro Se filings and contracting with private attorneys.
In managing the legal service and recruiting some of the best paralegals around, Mr. Campfield has discovered that the legal needs of low-income and imprisoned individuals can be satisfied with specialized technology versus the hefty fees often associated with legal servicing. Mr. Campfield is dedicated to the development of that technology and the expansion of his business through the States to see that low-income and imprisoned individuals have access to professional legal services they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford.
As a cohort in Columbia’s JIE Scholar Program, he is seeking an undergraduate degree in the criminal justice field and is determined to pursue a law degree with the intent of becoming a trial attorney.
